The Straw that Broke My Back Sale

EDIT: I apologize I haven't posted pictures yet, there's some fun craziness going on with work and I haven't had time. I'll try to get them before the week is out, thanks for your patience.

After a few years of trying to fight in the SCA, I've finally had to call it quits. I've got herniated discs and degenerative disc problems in a few areas of my spine, and my rotator cuffs are shot. I've tried numerous times to build up muscle and fight, but my back has gotten to the point where it takes me a few tries to get out of bed in the morning, and the doc says it's time to throw in the towel before I do worse damage.

I've considered hanging on to my stuff in hopes of future progress, but I've got an upcoming wedding and bills are piling up, so I need moolah more than I need armor.

I'll try to get pics up of the rest of this stuff here shortly.

Free shipping in the continental US, paypal or check/money order accepted, will ship when check clears, etc...

Rus/Mongol style helm by Aesir Metalwyrks

I paid $895, would like to get $700 but will entertain reasonable offers.
(sorry for the funky pictures, this was for a school assignment).

Antiqued stainless steel with a brass nasal and cheek trim, riveted mail drape (has a few links missing).
IIRC it's 12g panels with 14g everything else.
Built for a 24" head, I wear it with 1/2" padding, with a little extra padding it might fit someone a bit smaller.
Has some scuffs/scrapes, but no big dents, cracks, etc...
This was a custom job, modeled after a (IIRC) 13th century helm found in the Altai mountains, with the rus style nasal added in for fun.

Other stuff I have that I'll get pics for soon.
Spring Steel Clamshell Gauntlets from Aesir Metalwyrks

I paid $600 for these, hoping to get $500, but again offers etc.. They've got a few lacing holes drilled, but they were never fought in. Some slight surface rust that should come off with a scotch brite type pad. 18 gauge antiqued spring steel. These are super light and built like tanks. I wear an XL glove.

Gorget, Demis, and Bazubands by Sir Haroun Dibs'd

I've got a matching set of Demis, Bazubands, and a Gorget built by my uncle Sir Haroun. Black leather with red trim. I'd like to get $200 for the set, will part out if necessary.

Lamellar from Duke Logan$100 SOLD
https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 2018_n.jpg

This is a suit I laced together, tombstone style alum plates. It's a solid piece, I'm 6' and about 225 and it slips over and fits snugly. Not the best build, but it could be taken apart and resewn. I think I have a couple dozen extra plates somewhere, I'll throw them in if I can find them. The bottom row plates have some that are slightly bent.

Hidden legs by Sir Haroun$60 SOLD
Black plastic hidden legs/knees for early period kits. Work fine as they are, but with light padding underneath they're tanks.

Shield is sold.

I think that's about all I have for now. I don't want to deal with the hassle of shipping my weapons, so I'm just going to donate them to the local barony.

Thanks all.

I'll take the Lam if no one else had dibs. What would shipping to 77706 be?

Well the spangenboss built by Aesir (16 gauge antiqued spring steel), ran me about $120, the shield and materials about another $150. Stiched rawhide over rope edging. It was the first one I've ever put together and wasn't my best work, but I'd say $120 plus whatever shipping runs on that one, it's a bit big so shipping will probably be in the neighborhood of $30ish. The boss is indestructible, it will not dent, so even if the shield sucks that thing'll last forever.
