Interstate, and nova are the big ones for plastic material.
Shop around and check total cost as shipping and cutting can add up.
Half sheets from nova save me around %15 per sheet.
If you find a local machine shop or fab shop that orders similar material or sells drops it will save you a butt load between volume discounts and shipping.
You might try organizing a bulk buy in your region to get the cost down.

This work? It's about the right size, if you don't mind cutting it. Don't know what thickness you need so I guessed.

.125 or .187 is common for that application.
Also sold as 1/8" or 3/16"
The heavier if often used for things like knees and elbows while the thinner is used for articulation a and splints.
Egg gauntlets use both, heavier for the big plates thinner for in between or overlapping pieces.

If you are down in my neck of the woods stop by and rummage through the scrap pile, I am sure that I have something that will work.

Look for blue plastic 50 gallon drums and cut them up with a jig saw. Many co-ops and farm supply places carry them super cheap. Like $20 cheap. The plastic softens up in an oven at 400 deg in just a few minutes and can be shaped but wear gloves and use a cheap cookie sheet. We've made CoP with removable plates using them and they work fine.
