Small seax auction for September-ended.

Post by Ironbadger »

Auction is ended.

Just completed small seax.

From my rapidly disappearing stock of antique, 100 year old carbon steel.
The pitted surface was left on the spine to give it a blacksmithed look and feel.

Blade a hair over 6 inches, a bit over 10 1/4 inches overall length.

1/8th inch thick stock, razor sharp and rough mirror polished.
Walnut grip, brass hardware.

The buyer can order a wet formed and fitted pouch sheath with period styled, stitched hanger loop for an additional $30.
Making a sheath will add another week to delivery for the leather to dry thoroughly before shipping, so you need to be aware of that and plan accordingly.

Suitable for Anglo Saxon, Viking or other northern European personas, 9th to 12th century.

Excellent carry knife for events- From cutting meat at feasting, to cutting string or trimming leather or making kindling to build a fire.

$70 opening bid.
I'll offer a buy it now option for $85.

The buy it now goes away after the first bid.
We'll run bids until next week- Say, wednesday.

Payment by paypal, and the winner must pay for it within 3 days of the end of auction.

Shipping is $15 to US addresses, and I completely forgot to put that in earlier....

Thanks for looking.

Trying a slightly different photo technique.. Hopefully the blade is more clear and visible this way.

Finally something in my style and I don't have any money for it. :P Do you ever have time to take commissions?

Is this stiil up? If so, I'll make the opening bid of $70. Or, I can build a shield if you need one.

Yes, the auction is still active.

The offer of a shield trade is appreciated... But I have one, and my car insurance bill is due.

Auction is ended.

Sorry- I just got home and intended to end earlier.

Shipping is $15, and I knew I was forgetting something when I made the auctions.....

Ironic has the top bid at $73 and shipping.
