Shipping is $15 to US addresses, and I completely forgot to mention it, like a moron....
Another just finished knife.
Blade in antique carbon steel, 1/8th inch stock and razor sharp.
Faint spine pitting left on for the hand smithed look and feel.
Otherwise rough mirror polished.
Blade almost exactly 6 inches, a hair over 10 1/4 inches overall.
Brass hardware.
Grip is elk brow tine- The hardest and densest part of an elk's antlers, but a royal pain for me to get my hands on, and too damned expensive to offer regularly.
A nice, generically medieval belt knife suitable for nearly any European persona. Dark ages to late medieval period.
I've seen pics of similar blade profiles in dug relics in museum collections across Europe. Sometimes with copper or brass guards still on.
So its based on originals, without being based on a specific one.
Very nice feel in the hand.
Very suitable for feasting, general carry and all manner of camp chores.
Buyer can have a wetformed pouch type sheath made up for an additional $35.
A sheath will add an extra week to delivery time, more or less, for the leather to dry thoroughly before shipping.
Opening bid of $75.
I'll offer a buy it now option for $90.
Buy it now goes away after the first bid.
We'll run the auction til wednesday of this next week.
Payment by paypal will be due within 3 days.
Trying some new photographic techniques in order to get clearer pics.
Lets see if it works.
Thansk.
