Hey guys, looking to sell my 12th century italian brass/steel face plate helmet and 12th century crusader face plate helmet. The brass one is 16 gauge top / face plate and the all steel one is definitely 14 or thicker in the reinforced areas. both have high quality leather liners. I'd like 150.00 per helmet + shipping and im located in Ontario, Canada so just ask for a shipping quote with ur zip or postal and ill getem for you.

How difficult would it be to make the crusader SCA legal?

you would have to add a back of head protection, padding on the inside and mod the eye slots to be narrow for the 1 inch rule.

my friend tried it on with his coif and padded arming cap which makes his head 26" around and it fit very well, hope that helps.

What is the size of your friends head without the padding, or how thick is his padding?

Some groups require a certain amount of padding.

His head is 23 inches without anything on, you can have quite a bit of padding in it.
