Armour for sale

Post by Pathfinder »

I have a few pieces for sale all are SCA legal.
1.Greathelm
blackened all 14ga mild, top is welded on inside and rivited, fit up to a 24" head.I've made about ten greathelms so far, this one is the best.$100+shipping
2.Closehelm
Based on Sinrics pattern,14ga cold rolled, neck lames 16ga,roped crest, roped edge on neck lames, dual spring pins on visor, springpin with push button on bevor, decrative removable rondel.Very large, the pattern was for a 25" head.
This is the best helm I've ever made,I made it to use as a display though it is SCA legal.
Also known as "Sasuke's Precious"(he'll kill me when he finds out I'm selling it Image )
$400+shipping
3.Visored sugerloaf
Sinrics pattern,14ga cold rolled,brass cross,dual spring pins,fit a 22" head
$200+shipping
4.Gothic spaulders
all 18ga coldrolled, shoulder cop has a rolled edge on top and repouse design, embossed bottom edge, middle lames have a centerline crease and embossed edge, bottom lame has rolled edge and tapers up towards the front of the arm(so there is a right and left)
$75+shipping
5.Stainless "hybrid" helm
12gaSS conical top(Illusion dress helm I got in a trade)14gaSS drape and visor added by me.Started out as a sugerloaf evolved into a barbute.Kinda cool looking,my first attempt at stainless and at flairing the drape, cleaned up OK but I can't get the scratches sanded out.fit about a 22"head.Sasuke has some pics of it and I'll put them up when I get them.
$150+shipping
6.Crap barrelhelm
4piece pattern I was working on.14 ga mild, well made solid helm.......ugly design, fit up to a 24" head, make a decent loaner helm(no one would ever steal it)been hiding it in the basement.
If buyer swears to never post pics on the AA or tell anyone who made it I'll throw in an old set of crappy looking gauntlets I used to fight in and throw a coat of paint on both to hide the rust.
$25+shipping
7.Coat of plates
16ga mild plates(painted)large headed copper rivits, cloth exterior(2layers cotton duck and outside 1 layer green cotton with black trim)side opener, top and bottom buckles each side center buckle like a belt fastening in the front.I've lost about 30 pounds in the last two months and it no longer fits me.For sizing I'm 6' and was around 260 pounds.
$50+shipping
I only accept postal money orders for payment, shipping is $10 for the helms and COP. $5 for spaulders ,for in the U.S., anywhere else and I'll get it weighed and find out what the shipping is.I don't ship til I have recieved payment.
email is in my profile or post here.
Pics of items 1 to 4 can be seen here

I just took a look at the visored sugar loaf. Are you interested in trading at all? I have a pair of stainless arms from Dragon Forge I'd be interested in trading for the helm.

e-mail sent,
I really appreciate your following thru on Matts contest, I really want to buy something from you but I can't afford one of the more expensive items right now.
If the #6.barrel helm and gaunts is still available I can send money right now.
I really need a set of gaunts and I promise not to ever tell anyone where they came from.

Thanks again for that awsome brig.

How did you blacken the barrel helm? The finish is nice...

(perhaps I should have listen to Sasuke describe the process to me when I was last down there instead of spacing off)

I kinda wish you had bought it Sasuke, least I could have visited it on weekends Image
I boxed it up tonight and said my goodbyes,it's like selling your children.

Everything I listed is sold.
Although I did make another greathelm yesterday morning, same pattern as Number 1,with simplified breatholes and I painted it black. $100 +shipping.

It pretty much is the same as this one(same pattern, size, material and construction)
http://community.webshots.com/photo/52149991/52150119fqHzgi
except there's fewer breatholes that are all the same size and I painted it black.
