Heres the entire remaining pile of plasma cut sawblade strips.
They range in length from around 6 inches to about 11 inches of usable area.
(Estimating conservatively.)
1/8th inch thick steel, from a circular lumber mill type saw blade.
$5 apiece plus $7 insured shipping, or $55 shipped for the whole lot to US addresses.
(Sorry if you live outside the US.. It would cost me more to ship to you than I am asking for them.)
Great for practicing on, but too rusty and pitted for me to make knives to the quality standard I maintain.
Lets be clear.
These are RUSTY and PITTED.
None of the pits are all that deep, but the surfaces are not smooth.
I would have to grind and sand away too much of the surface to make them presentable for it to be worth my while.
But if you are looking for a cheap piece of decent quality hard steel to make a seax or some similar blade for practice?
Ideal.
I guarantee nothing about the temper or hardness of the steel beyond that they are definitely hardened.
I did not cut these.
I bought the lot as is off of ebay, and have no idea of how they were cut beyond that they appear to have been plasma cut.
I more or less cleaned up one to judge the condition, and made a short seax blade out of it that I did not finish, and sold in another thread.
Thats about all I can think of to say, and theres not really much else I can tell you.
Payment by paypal.
