No time for armouring -- Sale of Equipment

Post by Aaron »

Metalworking machine for sale: $150 or best offer.
Sort-of an old version of the Beverly Shear / Whitney Punch combo.
Cuts 16 gauge stainless.

Helm by Accedentprone: $60 or best offer.
Picture to follow later in the week.

Dishing stump: $5 or best offer.

Railroad-tie anvil: $20 or best offer.

Pictures available later this week, or you can call me up and see them yourself. Delivery available within local area. Additional equipment complimentry with sale of other items. My old Great Helm is among the complimentry items.

After the 5th or 6th move due to my profession, I've found I don't have the time to have my hobby. It all must go before the 20th of June.

Aaron, what kind of helm are we talking about? I have a college student looking for a bargain, if it fits his melon, I'm sure he'll go for.

It's a basic "orc" helm...

Two helm halves spangled and welded together with a rear skirting and a face-plate (eye holes only).

It is beautiful in it's own way.

I'll post a picture this weekend, I hope.

Oh, free shipping within the New Jersey, Philadelphia area. I'll drive it out to you so I know it has a good home. Expect me to be sentimental about it....

Apologies, I thought it was an SCA Heavy helm.

It is an SCA heavy helm, it's just a little crude (I did a lot of the work, and gave accedentprone only limited tools and materials).

It's all mild steel.
12 gauge (dished) tops from Ron Simmons, 14 guage sides (back and face), and a 14 gauge "strip" of mild steel over the top.

It's strapped, but not padded.

I'll e-mail pictures if you wish later this week.

Oh, okay then. Sure, shoot me a picture when you can and then I'll see if my friend'll go for it.
Know the circumference?

If those other two don't get the helm, I'm interested.

I'd be interested in the railroad tie anvil.

How much do you think shipping would be to Nashua, NH?

It's in the shed among everything else...

Check for the helm in the "Helm by Accentprone" file. My wife is wearing it. No measurements yet...

That is what we used to call a "re-bar" cutter. I'm sure it would cut 16-14 ga okay.

It's 908-902-3461. If that doesn't work, my wife's cell is 908-902-3463.

I'll have pictures this weekend I hope.

The metalworking machine and anvil were sold yesterday evening.

The dishing stump is still up for grabs, but it's a "come-an-get-it" thing. The cost for shipping a stump would far outweight the value of it.

Thank you for all the attention,

Evil Merlin,

My apologies. Critter just showed up, had money in hand, and I helped him load it into his vehicle.

This wasn't as much a "sale to get money" as a "I need this sh_t gone SOON because I'm moving, and would anyone like to have it instead of tossing it in the dumpster...and can I get a tip for putting it in your car? Image"

This was me getting out of armouring at or near the house. I don't have the time, and my son, daughter and wife deserve all my time.

I'm getting out of armouring at home...

I'll still visit ANYONES armoury, drool over your stainless equipment (the mild would rust...I'll drool at range), feel the urge to peen a rivet...etc...

I'll still buy armour and have that tonlet suit made for me.

It's just taking up too much time into my busy schedule of work, wife, kids, dog, eating, sleeping, running 6 miles every morning, 45 minutes of constant weight lifting (no talking, no stopping) after the run, working out with the unit, etc...

I'll be happy when I can fight in a suit I like (and will protect me).
