Stoneware feastgear - tumblers and a mug
When I first started merchanting in the SCA, I sold just my knives.
While growing up, my mom had a ceramics store, so we spent a lot of time working on that. I started adding stoneware feastgear to my inventory. Mugs, cups, tankards and place settings adorned my tables. We stopped doing the place settings quite a while ago, but kept going with the others. I added the lamellar and other kits later on.
I don't know if/when I'll return to going to events, but I won't be making the feastgear anymore. So, I need to liquidate it.
Here are the styles I have available.
Small ones:cordial, flared tumbler, teacup.
Large tankards: recessed bottom, stein, flared bottom.
Standard tankard: standard tankard.
Mugs: Pottery mug, squat mug, t handle mug.
Large tumblers: large tumbler, goblet.
Tumblers: small tumbler, pottery tumbler
We had quite a few different colors. I don't think that I have all styles in all colors. Here are the colors:agate, amber, blue, blue earth, castille blue, clear, coral, dark earth, dark green, green earth, hunter green, mocca latte, peacock,
All of these are slip cast, not hand thrown. I purchased some of the molds and made some of the molds from masters that I made. There will still be variation between items. Sometimes they were poured thicker, sometimes glazed thicker, sometimes the glaze mix was alittle different. They are all stoneware, are dishwasher, microwave and food safe.
The styles are what I would call period-ish. They fit in at events quite well (or in the regular kitchen) and have some historical similarities, but are non totally 100% historically accurate (to satisfy the period nazis).
I'm going to start with one style and work my way through the styles.
Shipping will be via USPS flat rate boxes. I can fit up to 6 pottery mugs or 8 of the other styles in one box for $12.35 shipping in the USA. Send me an email (no PM's please, I need an email address) and I will send you an invoice with a secure link for credit/debit card information. I do no take paypal.
Put on hold due to lack of interest.

Why is the bottom part of the mug not colored?

Re: Stoneware feastgear - standard tankards first
I would hazard stylistic choice, that high up, but it's necessary to leave the foot unglazed, or the glaze will basically weld the piece to the shelf of the kiln.

Re: Stoneware feastgear - standard tankards first
Pretty much. On earthenware, it's common to glaze the whole thing and put it on stilts. That doesn't work well with stoneware, it sags. Since stoneware doesn't actually need glaze to be watertight, it's mainly for show. I have had a few run and stick to the kiln shelf. Made an interesting scultpure once by accident.

Mmm...it does throw me off though, just personally tastes I guess. Is there any way you could glaze the whole thing except for the flat bottom, obviously, without ruining it?

Nope. Not now that they are already fired to completion. I'm also not making anymore, so inventory on hand is all that is available.

Okay. I'm personally most interested in the Tumbler style.
