-- This means that for a year and a half, there has been no report of progress toward the backorders (failure to perform/complete/deliver) that SirBrand has acknowledged exist from around six years back.

Official 2008 Backorder List(what is left)

West Coast Armoury closed it's doors due to the financial crisis in 2008, leaving many customers with orders unfulfilled. So we reopened the Armoury in 2012 to generate new business while taking care of old business, making good on the past and moving toward the future.

Below is the List of the Remaining Backorders from the Armoury from 2008. Some orders are not listed per request. If your order is not on the List and should be, please email so I can get you on there admin@westcoastarmoury.com .

From over 80 orders at shutdown, we are now down to the list below. It will take time to complete the rest, but these orders will be either built, replacements built or items sold for refunds during the course of regular business. With any luck these should all be cleared by May 2014.

I've been quiet on here for some time, but been extremely busy in the shop and working my other jobs. We're making a lot of gear for folks and several more of the backorders are in process. The goal is to try and get all of the old backorders done by around the 1st of September and at the same time transition out of 'custom' armour making and focus on production run basic items for SCA and BotN fighting. This means that we will cease to offer so many different items and options come September and stick to maybe 10 or 20 items that make the best business sense. Many items have already been moved from open ordering to the gallery section.

Good afternoon. I tried contacting you through the email provided at your armory web site, but I haven't received a reply for the last 10 days.

I'm not sure if you remember me; My name is typist's name is David and I'm currently #4 on your list. I had placed an order for a small stainless steel aventail-ready viking helm and was quoted 12-16 weeks turnaround. I paid $700 in full on Sept. 28th, 2007.

On 3/8/12, I received an e-mailed update that you intended to clear your old orders or refund the items paid for. On February 4th 2014, you posted that you hoped to have the orders completed before April 1st. On 7/28, you offered an updated schedule that the work would be completed by around September 1st, 2014.

I was wondering if you're still on-track to meet this latest goal? Thanks!

The fact that Brand has spent the time and money to go to two Battle of the Nations while still not filling orders that he took 5+ years ago is in my opinion an embarrassment to the steel fighting community in the USA. Seeing as he seems intent on being a part of the steel fighting scene we need to hold his feet to the fire until he makes good on all the paid orders that he has FAILED to fulfill.
