Sold- New sword hilted dagger for auction
Posted: Sun Apr 06, 2014 12:16 pm
Dagger has been sold.
Thanks all.
Just completed, and I have to sell it to pay bills..
Life just isn't fair sometimes.
Very sweet and large dagger, suitable for European personas from the 12th to the 15th centuries; especially nice for crusader era.
You'll be proud to have this one hanging from your belt.
Excellent for cutting meat at feast, and the broad blade spreads butter and soft cheese rather well.
Double edged, carbon steel blade that is VERY sharp. (Shaving sharp..Cut myself on it several times by getting careless.)
Blade is about 11 3/8ths of an inch long. About 16 3/4 inches overall. 3/16ths inch thick.
4130 Chrome-moly steel guard, 1045 steel pommel.
Walnut grip.
I can offer sheath options again- $35, wet formed, stained and wrapped/welted construction in horsehide.
(VERY durable!)
If you get a sheath with it, I need to take a week or two to get the time to stitch it and let the leather dry thoroughly before shipping.
$140 opening bid, $160 buy it now option.
Buy it now goes away after the first bid.
Shipping will be $18 to US addresses, sent insured.
Overseas buyers, I will need an address to calculate shipping for you.
Payment by paypal due within three days of end of auction, as I have a car insurance bill due.
We'll run this auction until say, thursday the 10th.
