Greetings Gentles,

I am making a valiant effort to fight in the Combat of the Thirty at Pennsic. I had picked up a mild steel bascinet, but its just a tad too small (fits a 22-23 inch melon....mines a 23.5..I think!)...so, I reckon the best bet would be to pick up a cheap, old rust bucket, great helm...it's period and I can clean it up, add a mantle and look purdy for the big show!!!!

As I'd only be wearing it for the COTT, I truly do not wish to dump a big sum of cash into anything.

SO!!!..that being said, if anyone has an old Great Helm, Barrel Helm (or even an old Bascinet for that matter) that they'd be willing to part with cheap, please let me know. I also have the small/medium bascinet for trade. It's a nice bucket, mild steel, fixed grill...if anyone is interested I can throw up some pics.

I have an unclaimed greathelm. Its not rusty.. Hope that wasn't a requirement.
And I might have a home for the basinet, so hope to hear from ya.

I know you said you wanted to trade your bascinet, but would you be open to selling it? May I see a picture, and how much would you want for it?

Elizabeth,...currently i'm in a trade with Accdntprone....however if that doesn't work you are first in line to purchase it....as it stands though, barring some bizarre act of the unknown, it looks like the trade will work well for both of us.
