Curved wooden heater with hand painted castle siege battle scene.

Painting is inspired by manuscript illumination from the Neville of Hornby Hours: Emperor Titus Besieges Jerusalem ca. 1325-50. Acrylic on heavy prepared 10 oz canvas, mounted on wooden shield. Several coats of clear sealant provide added protection. Back is painted black.
The shield is constructed from 2 layers of laminated birch, 1/2" thick with a deep curve.

Curve Depth: 5"
Stitched rawhide edging can be added for $100. Allow 1 week additional.
