Want a plain bascinet...

Looking for a bascinet, plain (I like the rear pointed ones). It's for an archer impression for reenacting so 18-16 gauge is fine. Just the helm with nothing else is good. Anyone have any recommendations? Cheaper the better too. My noggin is about 23".

I have a few to choose from, varying in degrees of authenticity but generally good for dressing the part. Can I shoot you a photo in the morning?

Assuming that you and Klaus don't work something out, I'd suggest Piotr Feret (http://www.platener.eu/helmy_en.html) if you want a balance of reasonable cost and good lines. If low cost is the absolute priority and you're just going for "eh, close enough" on shaping then there's always kult of athena (perhaps this one - http://kultofathena.com/product.asp?ite ... net+Helmet).

I have one I am looking to get rid of. Just to make sure, this is not for combat, right?

Klaus, yes please send me a pm.

Boris, yeah no combat at all. Be for an archer for reenactment purposes.
