SCA Jingasa Helmet for Sale by CLANG

Howdy,
OK, before you start rippling on CLANG for the weird slant of the helmet, I asked for it this way to simulate a helmet thrown on just before a battle. My persona was going to be that backup spearman called in from rice cooking duty at the last minute to fight….and he’s been in the sake something fierce. He is not your front-line troop, but the last resort Hail-Mary play.
I used my t-shirt as a drape.
And here is a view where you can guess what I stuffed the jingasa with.
Because the VA rated me as 60% (or more) disabled, and the clear fact that I might have time to fight or fence at SCA fighter practice once per quarter, it’s time to sell off my armour. It’s been over a year since I’ve been to fighter practice. And, I only watched the fights.
The good news for you is that (a) this armour hasn’t been fought in and (b) anything I touch should incur a 50% discount, so I’m selling the armour for 50% of what I paid for it. I paid $425 for the mild steel helmet, which is powder-coated black.
Therefore, I’m offering the helmet for $212 (rounded down) plus $50 in shipping (wild guess) for a total of $262.
Shipping ONLY to the USA, because I remember the horror of shipping to Australia….but the good news about that shipping nightmare is I take PayPal now!
The jingasa fits my huge head, with a double layer of Ice Falcon’s professional helm padding (http://store.fastcommerce.com/icefalcon ... 1b1-p.html) in the helm….worn for fitting only, never sweated in, etc… The padding is for free, because I like you for your brain!
The jingasa is 32 inches around (that’s 2 feet, 8 inches) and from the “eyeballs” to the “end of the chin” is 7 inches.
I wear a 7 and 7/8ths inch hat. And, I like my brains therefore the helmet fits me with the padding.
And yes, the helm already has a chinstrap put into it that works really well.
And, I’ve thrown in some extra goodies into the helm as well. The picture has the goodies enclosed, but some of them might be used as box-padding…
Funds will be used to start my fencing kit from Zen Warrior Armory, on the off chance I can get to fighter practice.
I will be back in Idaho (where the stuff is) on Tuesday, 11JUL17 and can ship on that day, pending payment. With Pennsic coming up, this will be a good deal for somebody!
With thanks,
-Aaron
