greaves ?

is anyone out there still making aluminum or aircraft aluminum greek style greaves ?

im looking for a pair, i know there were a few people in the past making them with articulated or semi articulated knees.

I've been tinkering with 12 gauge aluminum greaves lately, but 14th century european.

Got any ref pics as to the exact type you are looking for?

kind of a compromise between shovel greave and sports knee

Hmm.
Thats a much more fitted shape than the originals I turned up doing a search.

Not sure I would be willing to take on something like these just now.

Wow. Those are beautiful.

When I was in Kuwait, a fellow Archiver made greaves out of scrap aluminum that was lying around. He was a mechanic, and kept smacking his shin on stuff when he had to repair stuff that broke down on a convoy. It was a brilliant solution for a modern problem using a classic method. Once he glued ACU material to the greaves, they even fit the uniform look!

Galileo,

bokolo's knees are good, i have a set, but not shaped as well
