Spined 40-45 lbs. Cut for a 25 1/2 inch draw. 3 fletch,Purple hen feathers, green cock feather. Green nocks (platic kind). Purple crown dip and hand crested.
$60 ships them to continental US.

You're probably not to be honest. Or maybe you're charging enough, but not what you can. In all honesty, surf around the net some and if you can find arrows ready to go for less than $50 let us all know where! Also, my price is including shipping and insurance.
The querries I would pose to you then would be:
1> Do you buy your parts in bulk? As with anything, it's cheaper like this. If I front the money for 100 shafts I can get them for 80 cents, more like $1.50 each for just a dozen.
2> Do you 'customize' them at all? Or do you make white feathers on a notched pointy stick? (arguably much more period like that... ) but as I said, these are stained, dipped, and crested. I'm personaly inclined to charge for my time and materials in just about anything I do (tho usualy not enough for time).
3> What do you consider a fair price to be? (not great, or good, but fair)
Understand, I'm not at all attempting to belittle you or your efforts, but clarify a situation. As I have at many many many points considered turning arrow making into less of a neccisary yet enjoyable hobby (My lady and daughter both shoot, and I do on occasion it seemed like something I should learn) and more of a potential spare change generator, I would greatly value your input on this as it appears that you have allready made something of a bussiness out of it.
For what it's worth. I've had several people localy interested, all saying that my price on them is good to fair, but unfortunately, it's hard to find someone that pulls a 40-45lb bow, with a short draw like these were originaly cut for.

Yes. I usually buy in bulk. I use FS Discount arrows for supplies, but I'm always looking for a better supplier. These guys don't really offer much of a discount for buying in bulk.

Here's the big difference between your arrows and mine. I don't dip or crest mine so I'm not putting in as much labor as you are. I leave my shafts bare wood.

Given the labor you're putting into them, and now that I know you dip and crest them, I think you're price is very fair.
Just a question.....how's the market??? I've thought about getting into this part time as I enjoy making them, but I just wonder about the demand. I've had inquiries at events, left contact info and never heard from the folks inquiring again. I've thought of whipping up a website and wondered if that would help at all. I have yet to take the plunge cause I wonder if it's worth the time.
