Sca Spangenhelm on ebay

Post by Agnarr »

I just put this helm on ebay. It is in tip top shape. My buddy bought it from mandrake last pennsic, but due to mice making a home in his pavilion, he needs a new pavillion.

Sir Richard is a triple peer from Calontir (I think). His helms are very, very nice and usually more than reasonably priced. He doesn't have a website, but I think you can get in touch with him via Mandrake (maybe Richard could email you some pics of his work after you get in touch with him). He doesn't make helms for Mandrake per se, but I think they have have some sort of agreement where Richard sells his helmets on Mandrake's table at events.

His work is pretty much exclusively early period, and blackening his helmets is somewhat of a trademark of his. I think he does all the brass casting himself as well. As for price, quality, and aesthetics, he's about dead even with Adam from White Mountain Armoury (I've personally handled helms from both armourers). He's a really nice guy too.
