Possible Kabuto queue .

Note this is not set in stone. My search for steel IS ongoing.

At this point I have been unable to verify a source for 1mm high carbon at home (Bangkok).

Because of this, it is very possible that I will not be making any Dou this summer. IF I am unable to make any Dou this summer I MAY commit to 2 Kabuto. I think there may be some interest. :wink:

IF I DO find a 1mm source of course I will return to my plans for okegawa-dou, but if you are interested in upper-end kabuto please contact me.

Additional note: Eff has dibs on the first spot in a helmet queue, but I understand the job hunt has *ahem* limited his discretionary fund.

My wife is working on making Samuri armour in Odawara every other weekend.

If you're working on something, we'd like to be in on it. What is your asking price, and can we come down and help?

We're in Sagamihara, south of Tokyo.

I don't have a shop here yet. I'll be going home to Bangkok for 5 weeks and will be working out of my shop there. I MAY make it to the Avalon fight practice Sunday. Will you be there?

We went to Avalon once and loved it.

We finally got a car this week, but I would like to avoid that long trip until we get some miles under us navigating the traffic of Tokyo...and my armour isn't finished yet...still.

My wife would fight, and her entire armour kit is in, but she's in Odawara on this particular Sunday to work on making Samurai armour out of paper.

So far this is the progress on my armour:

Done:
Gauntlets
Vambraces
Rebraces
Elbows
Greaves
Sabatons
Legs
Shoulders
Cup (plastic)

On order:
Gambeson (I will have to sew points on)
Breastplate (Armourworks)
Riding boots

Being returned for exchange because I was a ninny:
Helm

Need to order:
Gorget (I plan to ask the armourer I bought my helm from to design a goret to connect to the helm...it should be easy...I think...could be wrong...easily)

I HATE going back and forth on commitments.
This post is primarily aimed at those who are contemplating a kabuto order.
At this point I HAVE located 1.5mm high carbon (17 guage + a hair). I need to know from people who were interested in a dou if this is too heavy for them (this is mainly directed at Theo and Evil-Merlin). If it's too heavy, I'll take the kabuto orders.
