Due to some rather serious RL issues, it looks like I'm going to have to sell off my SCA armour. This includes a brand new SCA Corinthian helm made by White Mountain with a beautiful crest made by EvandR (sigh). Make offers by PM or email, please, and any questons are welcome. Buyer pays actual shipping, and I'll be happy to bundle multiple items.

1. Mild Steel SCA Corinthian Helm w/ custom Black and Purple horsehair crest. Words cannot describe how beautiful this helm is - it will make some Ancients fan very happy. Adjustable chinstrap installed. Again, both pieces are new and the helm has never been worn. I'm asking $450.

A photo of the helm is located at: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/wolvendan ... m=be31.jpg

5. Matched pair of plastic half-gauntlets, one for each hand. Perfect for twostick. $35.

6. Leather gorget w/ steel plates. Full cervical vert and throat protection. Adjustable. $20.

8. Mandrake Single Axe Head. Vulcanized Rubber. Never been mounted or used. Asking $35.

9. Size small-medium low profile red field hockey gloves. Never used. $20.

10. Quilted gambeson, black w/ red stiching. Ties in front, no arms, reaches down to mid-thigh. Fits 5'4 - 6'0, 160-220 lbs. $40.

Gabriel,

Sorry to hear about your RL issues! I had to sell my Corinthian & entire Greek harness back in 2000 for the same reason. Now that I am working again and things are more stable for me, I am giving your helm some serious consideration.

The only hitch for me is the coloration of the crest; purple and black are not really my colors. I have contacted the crest maker to see if a swap might be arranged.

Cheers,
Tim

Gabriel I am very sorry to hear that you have to part with all your equipment. I have notified some of the local guys of your helmet, as they were able to see it. I hope that things quickly work themselves out for you.

First and foremost I hope whatever is up in your life gets resolved to your satisfaction.

I'll take the shield. Any photos of that leather gorget are also welcome.

Good luck brother,
Karl

Thanks for all of the kind words, everyone.

The shield is sold.

The helm will fit a size apprx. 23 /12" head. It could certainly go at least an inch in either direction, but you small-headed folks should look elsewhere! It is a substantial helm.

I'll try to get some pics taken tonight - I'll let everyone know how it goes.

What kind of Gambeson are you selling and what are the sizes if you don't mind. I aslo may be intrsted in the helm, I just have to check on my SCA fund first.

Thanks,
Sceotan.

Having written the previous message before looking at the original post, I feel rather stupid, but that's not unusual. To specify, what are the chest and length measurments of the Gambeson, I'm a rather small guy at around 5'3-5'4 @ around 135# with about a 37" chest, so I have to be careful on what I buy. For only $40 though, I'm tempted to grab it and get a tailor to hem it down. Let me know please,
Sceotan.

Sceotan,

The gambeson is closed in front by four pairs of ties, and so it is pretty adjustable. I'm a 43", and I am pushing the upper limit of what is comfy - 40" is probably ideal, so you are fine there. If it needs a bit of hemming, it would be around the waist - it will be a bit loose on you there. I suspect it wouldn't be a big deal, but that is of course up to you.

Let me know! And yes, that beautiful freakin' helm is still for sale, people. Lots of nibbles, no bites so far.
