If none of you take up my challenge I will claim this whole kingdom as my own and rename it " Chickenwald" ok not really, but I would very much like to have a grand little event with lots of stick work! Thanks to Alister (sp), my blood is up and I feel my warlike nature returning, to arms my friends and let us cross weapons soon!

Cheers,
Leo

PS don't make me import Jehan, it would break my bank account and his lovely wife would kill me cause he would never leave...

I know you're just joking, but that's because I have known you for years. These people don't.

Jehan,

I took no offense to your brothers light hearted posting...

In otherwords:

The wings of a hummingbird beating in the breeze does not move the feathers of an eagle. :-)

Besides, I have invited him down to our fighterpractice on Thursdays where he can meet and beat plenty of people. However, for whatever reason the seems to think that people more people would drive to his lonely outpost instead.....

Giles,

I attended your practice last week, it was unfortunate that there were but two other fighters plus the newbie I brought with me but I know how things don't always work out. I will not be attending this week as I am on 24hour call, but will be there again next week. My ivatation to come up to this area and fight for one day was also an atempt to garner more interest in the local area as such it was a call for help, It is not a selfish attempt to lure fighters here purely for my own benifit. I apolagise again and withdrawl my challenge.

To any of you who were ofended and feel the need for a personal apology please contact me by PM.

Giles, Sounds like he might be ready to meet the Swedes. Whad'ya think. Be careful of thier choice of weapons. That 180 proof chili pepper vodka is a fearful weapon. But really I wil try to make it to your fighter practice. Not to worry but should we pass this challenge on to His Majesty????!!!! I know he has a great sense of humor. Only joking but Brother Logan I do want to meet you. I don't know if I'll make it up your way that weekend. But you might want to post it on the Drachenwald mailing list. You can go to the Drachenwald home page. If you have any trouble you should have my contact info. If I come I hope to bring a newbie or two. If i come is there a place to keep warm or to warm up every now and then. I have a two year old and my wonderful lady to think of also.

Right next to Walldorf; I usually stay at a hotel in Heidelberg and drive there, and was hoping to bring my armour or garb if there is a practice or event to attend. :)

Its very simple to get to the fighter practice get on A-5 torwards heidelberg athe first heidelberg Ausfarht(exit) it is marked US Facilites. head into heidelberg keep going you will pass under a railroad overpass. at the second light past the overpass
( there is a red dining car at the intersection it is a great retaraunt that serves a great american style breakfast all day they have the best burgers you can get in germany, Quite a few of us eat and meet there for coffee before practice)
turn right go to the end of that street a T intersection turn left. Again go to the end of the street another T intersection turn right go to the first light turn right thgis will take you to the gate. This is Benjamin Franklin Village. it is a military housing area. If you have a military id or pass you can enter. If so you will go straight for 1 block to a large tan building that is the gym where we hold practice wich starts at 18:30 thats 6:30 PM to the non military people. If you do not have a military pass or id. Then you should call me at 06221-751804 I am home most evenings. Of course can when you get in and we can meet for dinner and can show you the best places in town to go. Not meaning to be offensive as I don't know how well you know the area. But please get in touch when you get in. We like to meet everyone that visits. If your lucky maybe Giles will be there if his duties allow him to come. We will be meeting ther tonight for the first time in a month as they have just finished rebuilding the gym. well sorry this is so long. Welcome to Knights Crossing.

Here are directions for this weekends "come out and beat on Leo day" just in case you guys missed them on the other post.

From Spandahlem main/front gate:

Take third traffic circle exit toward Bitburg

At next traffic circle take second exit toward Bitburg (B-50)

Follow B-50 (very curvy, be extra careful) to the next traffic circle, aprox. 6-7 miles. You’ll see Bitburg AB directly across the traffic circle.

Take the second exit out of the traffic circle, through the gate (military ID required for all adults in vehicle) and onto base, follow the priority road around to the left and turn in to the second parking lot on the left hand side between buildings 15 & 13. Park in any visitor spot. I live in Building 13 apartment A1.

Again all are welcome, please bring your beverages...

If you get lost or need to talk give me a call:
Home: 06561-693879
Cell: 01706767863
Work DSN: 452-6266

Cheers,

If you're not doing anything this weekend, gentlemen, I highly recommend you go and beat on Brother Logan, he is a right blithe man at arms and should be most satisfying.

Excellent, I will definintely be there next visit.

Thank you for the directions too; the Audi that I drive there has a satellite system that is a little less than dependable at times. I'll definitely phone as I do not have a military ID.

If you guys need me to bring anything for you from the US please let me know. :)

Best regards and thanks again,
Karl
