I still have some books I'm looking to get rid of to make room for and hopefully help pay for some books more in line with my main interests.

Atlas of Medieval Europe by Donald Matthew, hardcover, 240 pages, 64 maps, chronological table, bibliography, gazetteer, 175 color illustrations, 118 black and white illustrations. $7 plus postage.

The Plantagenet Chronicles, by Elizabeth Hallam, hardcover, 352 pages. Here is a blurb about it from Amazon.com:

The brilliant and erratic Plantagenets from Anjou ruled England and most of western France from 1154 to 1216. The dramatic lives of Henry II, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Richard Lionheart, John Lackland, and their kin are here set forth in chronological selections from 14 contemporary writers; their stories are decorated with rich illustrations and short topical essays by modern British historians. $10 plus postage.

Here's one I finally decided to get rid of...Arms and Armour of the Crusading Era 1050-1350 Western Europe and the Crusader States, by David Nicolle. hardcover, 636 pages, 2400 illustrations, 3 maps, comprehensive account of equipment, and also goes over the forces of the major and minor powers who were at play. Companion volume to Islam, Eastern Europe and Asia. $45 plus postage. You'll also have to deal with my name and the year (2002) I got it written on the 1st page in pen.

A Medieval Miscellany, by Judith Herrin/Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie, hardcover, 208 pages, here's what Amazon has to say:

In this fascinating anthology, the Middle Ages come alive through its own words. Complete with 138 texts drawn from medieval sources covering the period from the sixth to the fifteenth centuries, A Medieval Miscellany is devoted to an extraordinary range of topics from Birth to Death such as "A Warning Against Wine,""Dangerous Games," and "The Virgin's Complaint."Filled with 400 lavish color illustrations, all of which have been reproduced from medieval manuscripts, this is a gorgeous sampling of the art and life of the Middle Ages. $10 plus postage.

and last but not least, a little something different:

A Tolkien Bestiary, by David Day, softcover, 287 pages.

A comprehensive, sumptuously illustrated reference guide to all the living creatures - races, flora and fauna - that inhabited JRR Tolkien's Middle-earth and Undying Lands. A Tolkien Bestiary is scholarly, definitive and enchantingly beautiful, identifying, analysing and describing 129 separate races. Included are a map, a chronology of all the ages, a general index and a special index referring readers back to Tolkien's original works for the stories of the races described in the Bestiary. $10 plus postage.
