Does anybody have any info on when these folks' website is going to come back up? Also, has anybody used their shoes/boots for fighting? Yup, I'm getting frustraited.

Last I spoke with Peter (owner/operator or BT) he had gotten a real job and was tapped for time to operate BT on a full time basis.


What is it you want to know exactly?

Shoes. Shoes that I can use for fighting, etc. that are reasonably authentic. I'm sure my wife has other requests.

I, too, was disappointed to find their website down. I finally had the money to buy a pair of the 12th C. splay-toed turnshoes, and it was gone.

Those shoes were too cool!

Wouldnt you know it? Just last week I killed all my old html files I kept for the website I used to have when I was their US distributor.

I know he says that he makes shoes that are durable and hold up to every day activity and steel combat.

They should do fine in SCA combat as well.

I beleive that he offers to suggest ways to add a hard sole (something most SCA fighters seem to want) but he wont add it and IIRC adding one voids his money back gaurentee.

I know he is gonna eventually get the site back up but as I said he isnt mercanting as a full time business anymore so his real life job is slowing him down a bit more than he wanted.

Thanks for the info. Btw, I don't really worry about guarentees with fighitng stuff, unless it simply falls apart on the first few run.
