Ironangel Forge...another Hammered Wombat???

Post by Lulach »

:?: Has anyone else had any recent (i.e. the past 2 years or so) experience with Ironangel Forge? My brother (yes, the same one that had problems with Hammered Wombat) is getting the run around from Ironangel. I was curious if anyone else has had problems as of late?

Never heard of them.

Never heard of them either - however, this was on their website:

Welcome to IronAngel Forge On-Line!

We have had a "tech wreck" of massive proportions!
At this writing, we are only infrequently able to get email. We are working to recover our database, along with all of our shop information, but that is still several weeks away. We were hit by a power spike from lightning during the last week of December, and our techs have not yet been able to recover our main machine or our back up machines Hard Drives.

We will be back online as soon as we are able! Several projects are done, but we are waiting on our techs to get mailing information out of the damaged computers

Don't know if that makes any difference...

Sorry, but it doesn't help. They have a long list of excuses (like Hammered Wombat) for lack of production. A few of my favorites...

9/16/05
"Hail!
We sort of figured he was having some machine problems at his end, as we could not get a message through to him... There is probably one or two more coats to go, then it will be ready to ship out. Probably in less than a week it will be on its way."

10/5/04 "Sorry for missing you, we thought we sent out e-mails to everyone!

We had a sudden sickness and death in my wife's family, and the burden of dealing with that fell upon us, so we have been away from the shop.
I should be back on track this week.

I will let you know when we ship the bow, which should be later this week."

10/13/04 "We have been ill, sorry, I have not even gotten up to check
e-mail. Is has not been my favorite season this year..."

So, needless to say, we are again waiting on a pre-paid product (read the rest of his adventure by searching Hammered Wombat threads; you would think my brother would know better by now) that never seems to ship. I guess I need to inquire which "next week" will it be...
