WMA Stainless Crusader Helm for sale

Post by grendel »

Never worn in combat, Adam made this helm for himself. I hear he's becoming a laurel now? 12G (I beleive) stainless ( I know for sure)with a Master Knuut welded aventail.

I planned to fight in it, never got around to it and I've lost my job.

Pay what I paid for it and it's yours.

725.00 plus shipping.

Georgous hat man.
Sorry to hear about your job.

I'd grab it, but all $ goes to the house.

I have a 23.5" melon and there is plenty of room for larger.

I would say 22" minimum and 25.5" maximum. It's very roomy, but doesn't look out of place on my shoulders.

Sean Powell wrote:Hello Grendel,

I am trying to convince a friend to buy this helm. He is of the opinion that for this price he should be requesting "custom" work. I am of the opinion that this is a great price for "get it NOW!". Is there any chance that you can take a side view phote and straight front photo and email them to me? sean's email . We are debating the exact shape of the lower face portion and it is difficult to see in the provided image.

Thank you,
Sean Powell

Ok, I thought he had a valid question, so I posted the pics here.

Note that's my dummy and not me!

If I had $800 laying around, it would MINE O' MINE. I love that helm and with the aventail it's a steal.

its a good deal.

If I were to sell plasma for something, it would be for a Master Knutt Welded Flat wire TI hauberk.

Never fought in? It looks like it might not even be padded; your eyes sure are riding a little low :)

I hope Sean's friend understands that the price includes a $225 aventail. I am also interested in the helm, but I've already got a custom aventail from Knuut here (extra long -- a thing of beauty). IMnsHO, $500 for a helm of this quality is not out of line.

With regards,

Alfred

Yeah, it's partially padded. Then again, the dummy's head's a bit smaller than mine.

Yes, this price is what you'd expect to pay for a custom helm. This IS a custom helm. If your head is the same as the guy who ordered it, it's just like getting a custom helm for you, with the added bonus of not having to wait 3 months to FOREVER to get the helm.

Tell your buddy to look at all the threads on folks who gave 50% down or more to armourers and a year and more later still don't have helms. Ask him what THAT is worth to him.

Heh, sorry about that. I've been working like a fiend, worked myself out of a job.

Now I am free and job hunting. Rebuilding a little hot rod, too.
