Wanted: quote on Boot armor

Post by DAVID01 »

I need to find someone who would give me a quote on heel and toe caps for cowboy boots. Stainless steel in a german gothic armour style... serious :)

I saw some on the archive a while back. They were very nice and done by James Arland Gillespie I think. Correct me if I am wrong.

I think they showed up on my sabaton thread.
SS Sabatons for my wife's wrangler boots.

Best of luck. I am thinking something like that may run in the $175.00 to $300.00 range.

Best of luck on your quest.

Wow! Thanks Hal, I had forgotten about those. Very nice work, actually though I just want something to go over the toe like the old cowboy tips and then the heel. I could never get used to a solid steel boot, of course they would be great on a bike. I want something like a three lame lobster tail on the toe and a fancy design on the heel with a small lip for pushing off the boot. Haven't really put anything on paper, I thought one of you artists of the hammer might have an idea.

Hal, what would it cost to get you to do the boots for me, or would you?

Yes I could do your boots in stainless steel.
Let me think about the cost a bit.
I know you will like them though.
