It is our first try - (total we made already 3 of them but got only photos of the first) - It is blacked and covered by varnish.

Hey Irish, you up for getting a pair and then letting the rest of us know if they are SCA legal, or easily modified? I agree, my jaw just about dropped when I saw them, and again when Lloyd posted the price. Why, oh why, did Beathan have to do this now? His queue is going to be stacked up for months now :D . Beathan, do you have an email, or is pm contacting preferred? I might be in discussion about a custom bargrilled helm for a friend.

Beathan,

What about a fixed visor sugar loaf helm? I have seen a few mishaps with hinged visors in rattan combat, which is why I suggest it.

I like your Pembridge, just thinking about the wonderful glancing properties of the sugar loaf. :)

Actually the Kabuto is very nicely done for the first try. Any details on that? Price/turnaround time? I didn't see it in the helmet portion of the site.

Oh please oh please oh please tell me more about the kabuto... Is it SCA legal? How much? How soon? I'm dying to get out and play... It's just what I've been looking for (style-wise).
