I've had about $1500+ worth of those tips...don't really live up to going at the quintain dozens of times at demonstrations...plus daily practices. I do not use a tip at all against opponents just the blunted wood tip as I have a "bad" habit of unhorsing or nearly unhorsing a majority of my opponents... 
And the numbers of those crazy enough to go against me are dwindling...in fact, I don't think anyone in the group wants to go up against me anymore.
