Due to some problems with the spangenhelm we started her with, I need a grill-faced helm for a woman. She is about 5'5" and a standard SCA man's helm is far too enormous on her head. I don't weld, so my solution is to beg you fine folks to help out here.
Lots of you have upgraded your kits, but I don't think all of you have passed on your old helms, have you? We do need a small (by SCA standards) helm, but I would like it if it looked at least decent. Dents and rust can be cleaned up, but I'd really like to get her into something she can be proud to wear, even a very basic bascinet would be wonderful.
Our budget is not huge, but we can afford $125 plus shipping.
