Up for sale is my first attempt at bazubands. They are made in the Persian/Turkish style. These are made from water hardened 13/15 ounce veg tanned leather, and have been coated inside and out with two coats of a wax based sealer that hardened them up even more.

I am asking $80 for the pair plus shipping. Money back (minus shipping) if you are not happy with them.

Here's some pics, and I will have more in a bit, along with measurements. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for looking.

Couple of questions here - Are these too big for most people? I used an existing pattern, and I don't know enough about typical measurements to know if these are too big.

Second, would these be more "sellable" if I added some sort of "fans" over the elbow? I have some ideas for that, so if that would help I can add them in - although it will raise the price a bit.

Just wantin' to know what I need to do to these to make them more like what people could use.

Bump, and price reduction.

One idea for you, Cat, is seeing an arm in them, so people who are concerned with coverage could see how much they actually do. I would do one straight-arm, one slightly bent and one +90 deg.

That's a good suggestion. I will attach the pics I have, but these 'bands are way too big for me so it looks kinda funny, and coverage may be different on people with larger arms.

Thanks!

EDIT: Also, this style wasn't really made to cover the sides of the elbow, judging from the museum pieces. From the description I read, they are only shallowly dished and in the pics they appear to be relatively narrow the whole way up. If these are to be used for SCA combat, maybe a floating cop underneath would take care of the coverage problem. I imagine that you could probably add steel wings to these also. I would imagine that would be pretty easy to do.

These have now been sold. (Thank you!)

If you are interested in these (or a version modified for SCA use), let me know and I will see if I can figure out how to make them to your size and specifications.

I am going to leave the price at $80 for now while they are still in the development stage. Custom tooling would be extra. As always, money back if you are not happy.

Thanks everybody!
