Can you spare a tent brother?

Post by Glaukos the Athenian »

Tents,

Like the opposite sex, they are absolutely necessary, but tricky to handle, not always cooperative, and surely expensive....

Thus, I was wondering whether someone reading this has a used period tent, such as a pavilion or a markee, which they want to upgrade or sell or barter. I just realized this is going to be a necessity, but the initial sticker shock was something....

Rowan,

I don't know what your budget is, but Midwest Tent has medieval rounds in right now for $399.99 for a large 12' one and a 10' one for $329.99. By all accounts, Midwest tents aren't of the same quality as Panther, but they're not a bad deal for the price. T. Finkas on the archive has or had one as well a few others. I squire brother of mine has one of the Viking ones and he likes it just fine.

I've got one of their 12.5' rounds, and it's been great. I wish there had been an option for a sod cloth, but it's otherwise been great for the last year and a half now. No problems, nice to camp in, hasn't leaked on me yet.

They're not the world's highest-quality tents, but they're great for the price, and I've never had a problem with their customer service (I ordered mine, and then two more after mine got ordered)...they've pulled listings off of eBay for me so I could buy a specific tent right away.

May I direct your attention to this thread?

I still have the tent. Why, I do not know. Perhaps knocking 25% off the price that I paid for a tent that has never been used is not enough.

I would have thought you'd have sold this! How much would it cost to have it shipped to 40831. I'm interested. PM me with details about shipping and what if anything you would be interested in trading to knock the price down...$300 is doable if you're not interested in trading anything though.
