Post by swiftjustice85 »

hello
I would like to hear from some armourers, quotes on steel or leather sabatons, I'm in the market, as it were.

I made these for my wife 22ga. stainless steel.

I made these for an archive auction:

Make me an offer.
18ga. mild steel only, as I do not work in stainless anymore.

Too bad you dont do SS, in Florida its SS or aluminium.
Those look real nice.

Hummm... I have never made any armour from aluminum before.
I bet it is a bitch to dish... yes.
Do you use the 50 series?

I have to credit Mike Yancy from the pattern archive, as his patterns got me started.

One of the guys all the way down here has a set like the second set and he says they are pretty good but he had to roll a lip out somewhere as they were digging in.

Yes, the Yancy pattern must be modified in the front arch area.
The heal part needs to be smaller also.

I have a nice pair of SS sabatons that I would be willing to sell. In great shape and already strapped. PM me if you are interested and I can provide pics and specifics.
