Review of Gundo's medium creasing stake

I recently purchased from Gundo:
straight creasing stake
curved creasing stake
flat and rounded chisels made to go with the stakes.

Today I had the opportunity to use the straight creasing stake and flat chisel while creasing the front of a barrel helm (14 ga. mild steel).

I made a sqare hole in a flat/unused area of my dishing stump which will accept either stake and holds it quite firmly. I was able to quickly and easily crease the helm front plate. The crease was straight, deep, and uniform, requiring only some tapping with the hammer to sharpen it up.

I was very impressed with the function of the stake and its ease of use.

I highly recommend Gundo's stakes as an armouring tool. Much more durable and consistant than the wooden block I had been using.
