dual purpose sallet

Post by Benedek »

I would like to know if anyone can recommend an armourer who might have a dual purpose sallet. First and foremost I want it for LH, I am looking for an open face sallet 15th century or abouts, with a detachable bar grill for sca combat, and hopefully i can find one without having to special order it.

thanks

Hi,

You seem to be describing the helmet I just got from Ironmonger!
In my case it was a bit of a compromise period wise (some 50 years), but it seems to fit your demand even better.

Check out my review of Ironmonger Armory from Yesterday, when I got the helmet.

Thanks!

Rowan

Sir Andreas has some of the best (and best looking) helms out there.

If he is willing to accomodate your preference (as he so seems), something good will come out of it.....
