Gambeson was listed as "an oops sale, my mistake is your opportunity." by Geoffrey known on archive as Gmandragora.
The product was identifed as:
"I am offering this 14th century style red gambeson w/ grey lining to the archive for just $179.00 (including shipping to continental US) This over sized garment, which should fit a person with waist/chest/hip measurements from 58" to 61" (perfectly it should be chest 62 waist 60, hips 63)and from about 5'6" tall to 6' is ready to ship. Normally this garment (with the extra material costs) would be $239.00. Button up front and sleeves"
Somewhere in the converstations it was made clear that no buttons would be supplied and I asked to have the size of the sleeve's clarified and was quickly responded to with: "The sleeve length is 23.5" from seam to cuff. There is some extra padding in the elbow, and the elbows and shoulders are designed for maximum mobiltiy."
Payment was sent on March 2nd and received on March 8th with mailing of the gambeson that day. I received the gambeson on Monday March 12th.
I stayed up sewing on buttons and wore it for fighter practice the next day.
I found the gambeson to be as advertised and it fit / moved nicely in armour. The only minor problem I had was my wrist size was a little large and I was un-able to fully button to the end of the gambeson. For an off the shelf product for someone of my size, once again this is really not a problem.
I love this gambeson and recommend Geoffrey as an honest businessman and would order from him again.
Thanks Geoffrey
