FS: Prototype 15th cent. purse SOLD

Ok, I have a side of 4 oz. leather that I've had for a while and I finally got around to making a pouch/purse...thing....

The pattern turned out to be a bit crooked, which I should have checked before I cut out the leather, but evidently I was too excited about finally getting to try this that I failed to observe the "measure twice, cut once" rule.

So, the details...This is made from 4oz leather, has been dyed a dark blue, and is coated inside and out with a wax based sealer. This has a brass plate on the flap, and brass rivets/washers were used at various points. The buckle is a Tandy brass buckle, and has been sewn on so that it would be easy to replace/upgrade with a more period one.

Dimensions:
~ 7 3/4" across the bottom
~ 5 3/4" tall (measured up the side pieces, and not including the flap)

It should hold a wallet, a cell phone, and car keys, provided that you don't have a massive amount of keys or a big fat wallet.

This is not perfect, so it is being sold as such.
Asking $15 plus shipping.

I am attaching pics of the purse, and one of the images the piece was based off of.

Thanks for looking,
Cat

Wow, that was fast! Thanks guys! (Sorry Irish :( I can let you know if I end up having another flawed prototype if you like.)

I will be making more in the future, and I hope to get the pattern bugs worked out before I try again. I may even end up having more prototypes for sale, as there are a couple of different shapes I want to try.

Thanks again,
Cat
