More 14th C Armor and Equestrian Equipment- Sale

Post by Leo Medii »

Got some more stuff that I found that I have that I haven't used and the wife said should go.

One pair of 14th C munitions grade Historic Enterprises legs. These have been used less than a dozen times. They were my loaner pair, and they haven't been out of the box in almost a year. Surface rust from sitting in a box for a long time. These are the LATE 1990's STYLE LEGS. These are NOT the newer style ones that are currently the munitions legs. Mild steel.
$150.00

One pair of Spanish/Portugese bullfighting stirrups. These were purchased for SCA equestrian and got used 3-4 times. I stopped using the saddle they were on and went back to my 1859 McClellan. Haven't been used since. Hooded design, wood and stainless steel and cast metal.

$75.00

One Spanish Bullfighting saddle. Yep, the one I stopped using after about 3-4 times and went back to my McClellan. It is BRAND NEW in condition, as it's only even been on a horse 3-4 times. Liked how it looked, but liked my McClellan better for riding competition games. Black with silver studs and white stitching. No girth strap. (less than half what I paid for it and you got it)
$175.00
Saddle 1

14th C spaulders. Simple Anshelm Arms Spaulders. Red nebuly trim. Mild Steel. My personal ones, so no rust.
$50.00

SOLD

Paul Chen German Longsword. Rebated Steel longsword for WMA practice/events. Worn once/used once for lance and rings gaming. Never used for swordwork. Brand new, no rust, still has oil coating on blade from shipping. Wood scabbard included.
$75.00

Dress Rapier with kris-like blade. Unsure of maker, possibly MRL rapier from the late 90's. No rust, polished wavy kris blade. Swept hilt design. Scabbard included.
$50.00

Will be posting pics for the items when I find where my dang digital camera went.

Thanks for looking!

Leo,

what is the size of the saddle? Both Tree size and Seat size?

I am interested but I need at least a 16in seat.
and my horse needs a rather large tree as well.

Thanks!

I'll post the pics with measuring tape if that will help. I know it's a 16" seat, and it fits my draft and 16.3HH jousting horse.

If MJBlazek passes on the saddle, I (or one of my crew) will probably be interested in it.

Looking forward to pictures of the stirrups too.

OK. Update.

Didn't know there was such a desire for the saddles.
So, I'm selling ALL three of my Spanish saddles then. All are the same price as they haven't been used more than one hand of fingers.
One has a girth, two do not.
One with Girth I'd like 65$ more cause the aussie system that is installed was expensive.
I'll post pics of all three TOMORROW (Squire is getting married tonight, so I won' t be able to till tomorrow). In the pics will be the stirrups (one pair) and will have a measureing tape on them for approx fit.
They make nice display in my medieval room, but they haven't been used since my wife and I switched back to my McClellan's. I would entertain a trade for a Japanese saddle for one of the Spanish. Would trade a pair of Japanese Abumi for the Stirrups if someone is interested.

Pics of all of this will go up tomorrow morning for reference. I however must clear selling ONE of the Spanish saddles with the wife as it's hers.
Would trade for 3rd crusader items/kit on most. Would trade for any Japanese SCA armor as well.

I'm clearing out a LOT of SCA stuff to make room for a childs bedroom, so I'll keep posting a lot of neat stuff over the next month as I convert our SCA "room" into a bedroom.

Thanks all, I'll try to keep you up to date as I can on all the stuff.

You said that you had a saddle that fit a draft? Is that the one with the aussie girth set up? Do you have a gullet measurement on that one? Is that the one with the 16 inch seat?

Thanks for your time and the info?
