Found- Large 14th century brass rubbing prints.

Post by Vitus von Atzinger »

I was stalking the local antique mall and I came across a matching set of two 14th century era (probably 1390's) prints that are mounted on box frames. This means that we are not talking about a picture frame- the prints have been glued to massive shallow boxes that you hang on the wall. They were probably printed in the 1950's. They may actually be brass rubbings but I seriously doubt this.
One is a knight, the other is his lady. They are black on a sort of tan color. They are each six feet tall.
They were $300 for the pair.
If you really are interested, I will actually drive over there, take pics, and get in contact with the dealer. If I have to I will actually pack them and ship them to you. You -of course- will pay the shipping costs and for the cardboard.

These are exactly the sort of things that belong in my home. Except I have to move another five times before I retire...

So, no.

What is the address of the antique shop? I am through the area quite frequently and would like to take a look at them on my next trip. Thank you in advance for your assistance

Jehan,

what you need is a big screen HD LCD TV that you can put a slide show on. Plasma's look nicer but can get image burn much more easily.

What, no hope storage space for all those things you would like to have later but can't manage hauling around with you now ?

I ask largely, but not entirely, in jest.

I do not believe in having so many posessions that I must pay rent on a closet with a roll up door for my extra crap. I would prefer to cull my posessions mercilessly and for quality.
