I've got one I have been meaning to sell, but it's small. It was made to fit my 20.5" head.

If you're interested, I can get pics and face opening measurments. Butted, 14 gauge, 3/8" galvy rings. Large and small dags, interspersed.
$45 plus shipping.

Correction - these are 5/16" rings. Face opening is about 6" wide, and about 6.5" long. This was one of the first coifs I ever made, so it's a few years old, but has never been used. (I'm not in the SCA, so it's just been sitting in a zip lock bag in a cabinet.)

Sounds good. I will wait to see what he says, then go from there. You know, I think this coif was the first thing I posted on the Archive. If not the first, it was one of the first few. I think I made this before I joined. Seems like a long time ago...

Is it a coif your looking for or an avaintail for you heavy kit?
I can have an avaintail in galvy for 40 shipped ground or 50 shipped bright aluminum 3/8 id 14 guage wire.

Hay Cat, if thoes other guys dont take it I'll give you twice as much for it.

I think 14ga. will be a little heavy, as it is not armour but bling.
Your helm as it is now weighs 10 pounds and 11 ounces.

I think the welded dark SS 16ga. would be plenty.
My welded coif is too small for your drape.

That's a super generous offer Hal! :) However, I believe I sold this one - it was back in April, so I can't remember for sure if he bought it. If I happen to find out I still have it, I will let you know but I won't sell it to you for twice as much. If I have it and you still want to buy it, you're just gonna have to bite the bullet and buy it for the asking price of $45. :)
