Has anyone bought from WoodenWasters.com? Are they reputable/recommended?
I want to buy a pair of longswords for slow work this summer, specifically the "ARMA Approved" tapered longsword found here:
http://www.woodenwasters.com/swords.htm

Thanks in advance.

in my WMA group, novices use wasters from Purpleheart armoury: http://www.woodenswords.com/WMA/

we've had good luck with them (i.e. lasting several years), though there was rumor he was getting out of the european style wooden wasters.

I can't say what the woodenwasters ones are like though, you may be able to get some feedback from folks who have used them on the Historical European Swordsmanship board on Sword forum international though.

dont go there

Woodenwasters.com is not the greatest of products in the world. I had a waster from them and the finish of the wood was not good at all (left me with splinters after my first drill session). I would say go with Purpleheart, or have a look at my website as well (shameless plug I know but why not?)

Cheers,
Andy

Things Murdock has a few of...Hm....That doesn't narrow it down ;)

I decided to go with the folks at Hollow Earth:

I'll review in three weeks.
