I am thinking of getting a couple pairs of these shoes but I wold like to know a couple things before I buy.

1. Who has them and what do you think?

2. Do they run small, big, or right on size?

3. Would they fit with a mid 14th Century German kit?

I have a set of black ones. I can't remember what size they are, I bought them at an event, so I tried them on. I THINK they were size 12, I usually wear 11.5. I have wide feet.

They work great, I have had them about 3 years, and have had no problems. IF you have bad feet, make sure to try them on with your insoles in them. The soles are flat, no cushion.

They are VERY 14th century.

I have a pair of black size 14's that I have had for almost 5 years. No problems what so ever. I love them.

I have a pair as well. I have had them for 3-4 years. They are great but you may need your own soles.

I have fought in them and they seemed a tad light on the ankle support.

I have the buckle version from the same Revival. They are sized correctly in 13. They are narrow, or I should say they are perfect for my feet, and my feet are a bit on the narrow side. I wear normal M width.

I've had a pair for just under 3 years and for 'off the shelf', they are pretty damn comfortable, that and they had room for my orthotic inserts. As several have noted it you have wide feet, get a size above what you normally wear.

I've not owned a pair of these, but know several people who have them and they are pretty well pleased with them. Might I suggest Boots by Bohemond? Take a look at his "off the peg" section. I recently bought a pair of his Medieval Boots and both they, and he, rocketh verily! Well made boots and a heck of a nice guy to deal with. I'm planning on a review, but need to take some pics of me in the boots with garb on instead of me in the boots in blue jeans.

I have a couple of pairs, and love them. I did add crepe soles to one pair for wearing in damp conditions and indoors....as I don't much care for slipping and sliding.

I fight in one pair have a newer pair for dress.

They are narrow... I had to buy a full size up to get them to fit comfortably. Mine are downright STIFF, so I find the ankle upport more than adequate. Insoles make a lot more comfy.

I own a pair, I'll be a parrot and repeat what I've been told by the reseller. When you buy them, plan to do two things.

First, find a new rough patch of cement, and shuffle your feet for about 3 minutes. It helps greatly for grip on concrete floors.

Second, the shoes are made to fit tight, remember its leather, so it will conform/wear in. I got a really comfortable fit by finding a convenient puddle and standing in it for a few minutes.. wore the shoes the rest of the day and they are by far the most comfortable period shoes I've had so far.

I've also noticed a lot of the local/kingdom fighters wear them.

I will toss my unhuh in here too. I have three pair and my Lady owns two they are very comfortable and fit right out of the box. I fight in a pair enough that I will cover them with sabatons here in the near future. I have a court or too damn hot to wear my thigh high boots. I also have a pair of the thigh high riding boots that I love almost as much as my new balance just a shame I can only wear them a few times a month.

Thanks for all the info. I also got an email back from them and they said I can exchange for a different size if the ones I buy aren't the right size.
