I am helping a buddy post this to the archive

Here is the info I have and some pics
If you have questions ask them HERE
Egil is on the board and can answer them better than I

"The helmet was made by Duke Enman of Ansteorra (Highland Anvil)

The top is made of 12 guage stainless steel layered.
It is not a true spanghen <in> the top is a regular two piece top welded together then the spangen straps are layered over that.

The straps are then welded into place and rivited.

The slats on the back are 14 guage stainless again all welded into place then rivited.

The decoration is brass over copper with a griffon motiff.

This was a completely custom job that cost $1,000.00 new"

He is looking for $600 but willing to go a little lower if need be
I assume if it helps the sale he will also throw on a low grade polish before shipping

Inman and Athena - she did/does all the decorative brass and copper work. That's a beautiful piece.

I'm very fond of my bascinet from them.

Its a nice looking helm but it is actually to big for my head. Sorry.

Running it under a buffer would still do alot for selling it. I bet that brass and copper combo looks completely badass when shined up.

Brasso does some amazing stuff.

Well I was going to go with the "two dollars and fifteen cents" thing, but instead I will 101.02

but in all seriousness, what are you looking to get for the hat at this moment? I may know someone with a melon that big, but I am not sure what their current financial situation is.

Thanks
