Wool, linen, silk fabric for sale
I'm cleaning out some of my fabric collection and putting it here on AA first.
Wool -the wools have been washed and are fuzzy enough to obscure the weave structure. Selvages are towards the bottom of the photo. A few pieces have moth holes (1/8" diameter) as noted. Judicious layout should allow you to cut a hood.
mustard twill: 55" x 3' -Irregular shape, 3' on one selvedge and 5' 10" on the other. Some moth damage, mostly on cut edges. Heavier weight than the other wools. $5
cream twill: 60" x 3' 21" $7
gray tabby: 62" x 3' - lighter weight than the other wools $5
maroon twill: 54" x 3' 17" - One moth hole 8" from selvedge and 14" from cut edge. $7
blue tabby: 54" x 3' 8" - multiple moth holes. You may have to darn a few holes to lay out a hood pattern. If someone is buying other pieces and wants this I'll throw it in for free. $3
Linen -56" x 3' 25", cream linen with dull gold printed pattern. (Sorry the photo makes it look gray!) I thought this would make a nice lightweight 16th c doublet or jerkin. While linen is washable this cloth has an attractive glossy finish that I think would wash off so I suggest it be dry cleaned. I have a photo of some 16th c pomegranate printed fabric in the V&A- unfortunately it is not in their online collection. $12
Silk Dry clean only. Would make a nice lightweight hood or lining.
Rusty-red dupioni with embroidered gold spots: 54" x 3' 4" The machine embroidery is probably done in rayon. The spots look like satin stitch surrounded by a ring of backstitch. $10
Cream dupioni: 55"x 4' 5" $12
I can take Paypal or personal checks. It looks like the USPO charges $4.80 up to 5 lbs. Please respond in this thread or my email, tjustus at sprynet.com. Don't PM me, I am unlikely to see your message in a timely fashion.
I'll have more fabric available soon.

Still interested in the cream twill wool. Would take the whole lot of wool to if it falls through with Angus
will there be white wool in the next lot?
