Experts on such things, which decades would this style helm be most appropriate for? And which nationalities?

Bacinets are still appearing on German effigies (according to Doug Strongs research) in the 1440's, whether you'd still see that visor I am not so sure.

We tend to think of that type as last quater of the 14th century and certainly that is when they were most popular.

Thanks for the info, that's what I thought--I assume that these were exported other places, though? Even if probably not enough to justify their huge proliferation in non-German SCA personas?

Have contacted him about buying this.
