I dont think so... I bought this new right after I graduated college. All I can remember was that it was really hard to find one available. I vaguely remember ordering it from some company through mail order.

Decided that it doesnt get used enough and I could use the money for other things. Its an awesome tool, but I dont make armour anymore so no point in letting it sit my garage collecting cobwebs.

I am open to offers, these go for $750+ new....

After doing a little looking into this I have realized I have no idea how to go about shipping something to Australia or even to get a rough idea of how much this might cost.

Anybody care to share a clue?

:)

Yes.

Figure what size box (remove the handle and stash inside box) I would recommend a plywood box.
Estimate the weight of the box and weigh the shear.

Log on to USPO Shipping estimates.
Click Australia.
Enter package info.
Click type of shipment ( air or surface).
Add insurance.

The total shipping cost and time to delivery will be calculated for you.

Hal,

you forgot the part about putting in your groin protection, and bracing for the kick to the jewels that shipping something that heavy overseas is going to be. :P

If you ship in a plywood crate, Please use a solid corner peice. if you drive screws into the side of the plywood your crate will most asuradly come apart in shipping.

$200 sounds about right, I shipped 18 pounds of armor down that way earlier this summer and it was about $80. US Mail was by far the least expensive option I found.

Putting this back out there, I need money to fix my van for An Tir / West.

$450 OBO. I can deliver to Antir / West or anywhere within reasonable drive of Portland Oregon.

if the handle is just a piece of standard tube it may save a lot to send it without that if it is going overseas, but first check that the same size tube is avaliable in australia.

it would cut down on size and weight and may make a difference to customs charges.
I recently bought some items from the other side of the world that in total weighed a quarter of a ton and it cost me more to get them from the ship to a friends vehicle at the port here than the cost of purchase and shipping so customs and import duty is something to check first or you could get a shock but it may make a difference importing a complete item or 'parts' to the charges, it certainly would do here.
