Working on getting grand assiette gambesons going just wondering how much interest there is.

Will have a range of sizes.
Natural fabrics probably both linen and cotton will be available.
cloth buttons
made in north america.

Prices should be competitive but we have to see how the prototype goes.

My sister in law is a seamstress and her kids are all finally in school.

Working on making Mad Matts armory more of a one stop shop for the mafia. Will probably introduce clothing as well later on. Need to do research first. No time to do it now gotta catch up first.

I think there would be huge interest, Gramandor (sp) has a great product but demand outstrips his capacity, the russian places are sketchy on sizing and while well made, too small doesn't cut it... I'd cue up for the prototype

I think you should also bring back the padded leg armour you used to make.

I'll be bringing them back also but one thing at a time.

The first gambeson is mine.

Arming clothes queue will work differently from the armor queue since it's not me making them. They also won't interfere with armor production.

It will still go through me and I will answer all e-mails do shipping and refunds if necessary. So you'll get the same service you've come to expect but probably a shorter turnaround to start out.

I highly recomend cotton batting to be used for a lot of us in southern kingdom...it is a must..how much will you be asking for them?

Yes we're still looking for a source of 100% cotton batting. Fabric stores lie and so far we haven't found any that has passed a burn test.

They're not going to be heavily padded. They'll be 14th century gambesons meant to be worn under plate armor.

We won't have a price untill the prototype is done.

Thanks but the upholstry stuff says it's fortified with synthetics.

And after the number of 100% cotton battings we checked that beaded up on a burn test there's no way I'm ordering something online.

I prefer to have local suppliers for everything as well. That way when it runs out you just go pick more up.

Toronto has a decent sized fashion district gonna check it out next weekend when I finally get to spend a weekend in the city.

I'm not sure if Fabricville streaches past the Maritmes or not, but they have 100% "organic" cotton batting. It's unbleached as well. Only thing is it would take about $90 for a sufficent amount for a thick gambeson
