Up for sale is a 16th century purse based of off a museum picture I had. After looking through "Purses in Pieces", I believe this is a money changer's purse.

This is a large pouch made from elk skin, with veg tan accents. It has one main pouch and 6 smaller external pouchlets. Hand sewn.

I was originally going to ask $175 for this, as it took ALOT of leather (about 5 square feet of elk), alot of thread (about 50 yards), and many hours to complete.

Asking $125 plus shipping. SOLD - SHIPPED

Thanks,
Cat

Sha-ul,
Thank you for your kind words. Don't be sad. I will still be here and will check in, probably every day. Maybe someday I will get back into this.

The pouch dimensions are as follows:
Diameter across top: ~6.25"
Diameter at widest: ~7"
Depth: ~8"

This pouch will hold a good bit of smallish stuff, like wallets, cigs, cameras, PDAs, cell phones, etc. I have an older digital camera that's kinda big compared to new ones, and it holds that camera, a pack of cigs, my cell phone, my keys, and still has room left for a wallet and other small items like chapstick, matches, etc. Each of the outer pouchlets will hold a decent amount of period coins or other small items.

Thanks again,
Cat

Gethin,
It looks like this will weigh around 1 pound, 12 ounces once packaged. That puts shipping at $7.96 for Priority, or $6.67 for Parcel Post. Insurance is optional, and will be an additional $2.60. I will pay for tracking.
