Medieval Coin Replicas

As we recover ever so slightly from economic turmoil I am emboldened to remind you that I offer a very fine replica coin, with replicas from the 11th through 15th centuries available for your purchasing pleasure.
Remember, though stocks and commodities and currencies go up and down, pewter continues to rise, and the universe--well, let's just say the universe accessible to us--isn't making more of it.

Hi John,
I have to do a side-by-side photo of our original mite, and your replica, for you. They are identical in all respects, save the thickness, which can't be helped, and is hardly noticable.

Bob, surely you don't mean identical, as there is sufficient difference to tell that the replica isn't the original article. A good close replica is quite enough, and all the law will allow in any case.

Don't miss out on your chance to transfer some of your worthless paper into hard currency. Pewter prices continue to go up, whereas stocks are fraught with displeasurable surprises.

I am looking to finance some developments in my product lines and an expansion of the business. Therefore, I am going to offer some specials for the month of November and December, or until I am sold out if sooner:
I have a hoard of 151 William I Pennies that I will let go for the first customer with $100. That is a savings of 33%.
I have a goodly stock of Richard II pennies. These great little coins are awesome, and sharply struck. Until the end of December, or until I'm sold out of my current stock, I'm offering them for 80 cents apeice instead of the normal price of $1.00 each, for orders of twenty or more.
I have a good hoard of Henry VI half groats. 98 1/2 groats can be yours for the sum of $120, a savings of almost $30, or 46 of them for $60.
For the 15th century continental portrayal, I have Burgundian Double Mites. Developed in cooperation of Bob Reed and meeting his exacting requirements, they are a great penny coin. They normally sell for $1.00 each but I am offering a paychest special of 240 for $180, or 75 cents each.
Materials prices are rising. These prices will not be seen again, and that's no fib. Take advantage of these prices while you can, and establish your portrayal's cash wealth. Ask anyone who has some what they think, I am confident that their opinion will reflect well.
Pictures of the coins can be seen at

Please cut and paste the offer from here into the notes section of your PayPal transaction when you order.

Someone sent me an email asking about whether I have a special for the gold Edward III Quarter Noble Replicas. I realize I hadn't offered one.
Yes. If you order 20 ($100), I'll send an extra four coins, a savings of 20%.
I have 73 of these on hand, so I can take three orders of this sort.

One additional thing: I no longer have pouches for sale, and I can't offer them as a premium for sales of $100--so the specials I have here, are what I offer.
As for the pouches and their availability in the future, they are all sold out and the I can't reach the maker. Raimond in Las Vegas may undertake to make them, but they may be slightly more costly.

I received my King John pennies today. They are things of beauty. I now must make a pouch that will be worthy of carrying such a treasure.
If you haven't bought coins from Jehan, do yourself a favour and get some. They are worthy of high praise.
And for Jehan's service, I can give nothing but praise. A+ all around.

I ordered a shirt from you guys, and went ahead and tacked on a couple of coins just for fun. They were beautiful! Do you plan on producing any other styles? I'd really love to see some coins from around europe, to go with different personas.

I am considering it.
The coining business is not so profitable, but I have been able to muddle along and make it--with your kind help--not so unprofitable as to cause my wife to hate it.
That said, sticking with the last half of the 14th century, I am considering expanding the line with a silver penny from France, Germany, Italy, and Eastern Europe in 2009.
I am also working on a Gold Florin of St. Andrew, to be offered in the Spring of 2009--these will be costly (on the order of $10 apeice), but pretty.
Also--and you should be the first to hear it--material costs are up. The price of metals across the board have increased, and so prices will increase slightly in 2009. I don't feel badly about this--I should have increased prices about 4% a year to keep up with inflation anyway. Between inflation and materials costs increases, I am looking at about a 25% increase. Pennies will be $1.25 each, half Groats $1.80, and Groats $2.50 starting in January.
So, get them while they're hot, and before they are outlawed.

Iain, got your order, responded via PM, thanks! I have 4 Blanc dit Guernar French Groats that I'll find a way to get into your order when it shops.
Your order will fund an expansion of the line to include a mid to late French penny coin soon.
Here is what I have remaining on special, and I have ONLY these in stock until March 2009:
I have a hoard of 151 William I Pennies that I will let go for the first customer with $100. That is a savings of 33%.
I have a goodly stock of Richard II pennies. These great little coins are awesome, and sharply struck. Until the end of December, or until I'm sold out of my current stock, I'm offering them for 80 cents apeice instead of the normal price of $1.00 each, for orders of twenty or more.

I have been asked to do more French coins. It's tough to pick one for a couple of reasons--one reason is that there are so many coins, but so many of them aren't so aesthetically pleasing or geographically flexible. Also, sometimes coins are not minted for very long, presenting a challenge for applying to a broad range of portrayals.
After long search, I found this coin which is a civic coinage of Metz, which is in Lorraine, western France. It is a good looking double denier coin, 15mm in size (smaller than the pennies currently offered). It was minted from 1338 to 1374, which is a good range for 14th century French or German portrayals, since Metz was a waystop for east-west commerce. The obverse features a bust of Saint Stephen, the first martyr of the early Christian church.
I am still working procurement on these, but I may be able to offer these for $1 each due to their size, instead of the $1.25 that penny-sized coins will increase to in January.
Please let me know what you think.
