Another good review for Mad Matt

Post by Louis de Leon »

It's a non-armour review, but it's a review anyways. I bought one of the electric shears he was offering up.

Communication was fast. Any time I sent an email, I got an email back within 24 hours. Tool is cool too. The thing cuts .040 like a lightsaber through a warm tub of margarine. It's unreal how fast this thing is. There will be a learning curve.

There was a small snag though, and I feel it would be dishonest not to mention it. Not Matt's fault at all though. The post office beat the hell out of it. And snapped the plastic end housing the switch off the shear. Was no big deal to fix, took an hour and a little spare T6 I had laying about. Made a brace, screwed it back together and it worked 100%. Mine is probably stronger with the T6 brace than the original work. So no blood, no foul, and I'm still a very happy customer.

And I discovered something about the tool in the process. It was made to be taken apart! It's screwed together construction. And the plastic shell seams weren't welded together so you have to pry them apart with a screwdriver and break them to pieces to get at the guts. They even included a spare set of brushes for the motor! Awfully nice to see a company make a tool and intend to have the user keep it a long while.

Again, the only negative bit about this was the post handling, and that is 0% Matt's fault. I give Matt five stars across the board for this transaction.

Louis,

I don't quite know how to do a card on this transaction.

But I do have a lot of reviews for Matt already.

Do you think it would be accurate to just list a card which says this?
"Reviewed Dec 13,08.

On Time Shipping - 5"

Yes. I'd also add "Communication - 5" as well. He responds to email promptly.

Thanks for the review. Just thought I'd add here canada post doesn't normally cover stuff damaged in shipping but I think this is a little rediculous I mean it was in it's original packaging and it's a shear that cuts through metal.

Anyway I'm gonna see if I can get insurance money out of it and will send the money to Louis if I get it.
