Tooled SCA scabbard and sword sneak peek

Post by Thorgrimr »

Here's a sneak peek at my latest project- a tooled SCA sword and scabbard combo.

Here's the tooling on the scabbard...

It's going to (obviously) evoke a viking feel when done.

If anyone's interested, let me know... :)

The scabbard is almost complete- I'll post pics tonight.

As for price, given the amount of work I have in this I'd have to charge $100 for a plain scabbard and $150 for a tooled one. A belt would be extra, depending on what hardware the buyer wanted, and if they wanted tooling or not.

Here's the scabbard front:

and back:

The silver parts are done with pewter Rub n Buff, and the brown was done with antique stain and brown shoe polish.
The back is what plain scabbard would look like, and they could be had in any color combination.
